The Isle of Wight has a large variety of breaks to suit all levels ranging from the gently sloping sandy beaches of Sandown, Shanklin and Compton Bay to the shallow challenging reefs of Freshwater and Niton. A little known fact is that the Island tends to pick up more swell than a lot of its South Coast rivals such as Bournemouth.
